Jeff, she is so lovely. To see a geisha, with her hair down, and you know to my eyes, she looks, perhaps, a little sad. You wonder what she is thinking......yes, I really like this. The purples, the details in the folds, all so very interesting, and well done.
Jeff Burgess replied:
And thanks so much for this thoughtful comment. Yes, she did appear sad...and I wanted to capture this look. The detail in the folds is important to the work. Thanks.

Very Nice. I love the way you did the design on the folds in her robe...beautiful
Jeff Burgess replied:
Thanks so much. The robe had the designs so I didn't have to apply......but I did highlight the color.

Jeff, I've been enjoying visiting your largely surreal world. Although this image is somewhat more realistic, it is no less masterful. The moodiness, the almost unreadable darkness and the deep colors all make it magical. voted, favorite
Jeff Burgess replied:
William, I love your thoughtful reply about this image and your nice comment regarding my port. Thanks so much.

Im agree with Hailey, this geisha looks so special and magnificent dark purple makes her very mysterious!

I've seen many geisha paintings and photos but this is stunning. Absolutely gorgeous!
Jeff Burgess replied:
Thanks Hailey. This one was purchased as a fairly large image (2 feet by ?)....and framed. It came out really spectacular. I appreciate your look and comment.
