On June 21 the Fremont area of Seattle (they call it the Center of the Universe) has their annual Solstice parade and Fremont Fair. Venders from all over the Northwest come to display their wares. The parade begins with hundreds of naked bikers that are brightly painted and costumed. Then all 'vehicles' or 'floats' as well as musical groups march for several miles. A requirement is that the floats cannot be motor powered. They must be human powered and this leads to some very interesting 'creations'. There is also live music from several venues. I happened to catch this wonderful group at one of early morning shows. Unfortunately I can't recall their name but this particular fellow could play the guitar, tuba, and another instrument as well as sing. A tremendous talent. I happened to catch this shot which has been extensively modified.

Thanks Artist News for this wonderful feature. I just now found it. Unfortunately for me, the original image file has been lost so this is all that is left. Anyone wanting this work will now have to go through FAA to get it. They have the only file.
