Congratulations on your sale. It is very beautiful work. I am very new to digital editing, but your work is very inspiring, I would love to be able to create work that is no longer a simple photograph, but something more powerful, with more depth. Thank you for sharing your work.
Jeff Burgess replied:
The trick is to 'ruin' the original image and be able to live with it as you manipulate other filters and images. It is really hard to get beyond deconstruction of an image.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments. No, this is not a painting. It is what I term 'fused' photography. To get the effect you view in this image I have blended multiple images and elements and then worked and worked through various coloring techniques the final image. There are also multiple filters added to images prior to combining them in this final picture. The 'fusion' is complex and takes much time. I am happy to report that I just sold a large version of this image to someone in Olympia, Washington. Whoever you are, thank you very much.

Wow. It looks like a painting.
Jeff Burgess replied:
That is the hope. But I call this technique 'fusion' photography. It involves multiple layers and manipulations.
