A muted black and white image resulting from a recent trip to the Washington Coast and Ocean Shores. About 500 feet from the shore there was sun but with this fog/haze just hanging over the ocean. It was quite surreal as this image shows. Thanks for the look.

Aziza Del Rosario
Beautiful Art Jeff !
Jeff Burgess replied:
Thanks, Aziza.
Alinna Lee
Interesting! Almost have this epiphany feel of some bad and urgent to come.
Jeff Burgess replied:
Yes, I can see your perspective in viewing the image. The fog adds considerable mystery to the capture. There was no manipulation in this work. Just what I saw. It is a strange phenomena, as within 50 yards off the beach there was bright sunlight.
Kay Brewer
And congratulations on your selection as Artist of the Week in the If the Image Excites you.
Jeff Burgess replied:
Yes, I appreciate the honor very much and your additional comment.
Kay Brewer
I love your technique here - different levels of blur in the fog and mist. Black and White really ups the results. l/f
Jeff Burgess replied:
This capture is pretty much out of the camera. The blurs were created by the fog, not me. Thanks for commenting.
Kristi Johnson
Love your post processing on this! Really an amazing image!!
Jeff Burgess replied:
There was virtually no post processing, Kristi. This is the way the beach looked...pretty much.
James Brunker
Very nice, great feeling of depth and distance

This is a really cool image, Jeff!! Wonderful work!!! :)))
Jeff Burgess replied:
Thanks Laurie. It was an unusual day with son about 500 feet inland and this unusual haze/fog on the water's edge.
